Metal Shark’s bid was $13 mil higher than that of SAFE Boat International, I’m not saying its the wrong decision but I’d love to see the USCG publish the findings which led to their selection.

Hearing how visibility weighed very heavily in the award, I can’t help but think the accident in San Diego where poor visibility over the bow contributed, may have had some thing to do with the decision.
