Germany to build Icebreaking SAR/Salvage/MEP Vessels for Russia

MarineLog is reporting the Russians are having two new icecapable SAR and salvage vessels built in Germany. Sounds like a Coast Guard work, particularly when you add that they will be used to counter oil spills.

Dimensions 86 m (282 ft) x 19 m (62 ft)

Price: 150M euros <$198M

  1. Chuck,
Considering those were my proposed dimensions in our old conversation about Arctic Patrol Cutters, if these come out with an Ulstein X-bow, you will have proof that your blog is a gold-mine for ideas!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
