The Royal National Lifeboat Institution has a new boat with some interesting characteristics, including water jet propulsion that allows the boat to be beached. They also have developed equipment for launching from a beach.
At 13 meters (42.6 feet), it is a little smaller than a 47 foot WMLB. Max speed is 25 knots.
