Nice to see some life in American shipbuilding. These 63 meter (208 ft) craft are being built for the Navy’s Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships, Auxiliary Ships, Small Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS 325) on behalf of the Egyptians.

Following from the German Navy blog Marine Forum, 5 November, “Swiftships (Louisiana, USA) has been awarded a contract for joint construction of another six 35 meter patrol boats for the Egyptian Navy … follow-on to co-producing (assembly at Ismailia, Egypt) 28 meter patrol boats for the Egyptian coast guard.”
