Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941

A color painting of the Taney in Honolulu Harbor on 7 December 1941

It is now 71 years since the attack. Taney, the last remaining warship that survived the attack, is a museum, and most of the men and women who experienced the attack are gone. But if you would like to learn more about what the Coast Guard was doing, I suggest a visit to the Coast Guard historian’s Pearl Harbor index.
