Where is the Laurel now ? Was she one of the six? The Hornbeam use to be out of woods hole when she was a tender
Bob … The former cutter LAUREL is now a party boat that can be leased for parties of up to 500 people. She is presently operating in the waters of Trinidad – Tobago last I heard. We are in contact with the present owners through our WLB Veterans Group at the Coast Guard Channel Community. Let me extend an invitation for anyone having served on a 180′, 189′ or 225′ seagoing buoy tender to join us there to reconnect with former shipmates………. Regards, Ron Wilkins, volunteer WLB Historian
Ron, for whatever reason, I can no longer get into WLB VETS so I am trying this roundabout way to let you and mates know that. It’s strange, because I can get into other site but not ours. Any help on that is appreciated. Please let me know that you got this: jamesoss@gmail.com Thanks, Jim
Has anyone heard what happened to the Hornbeam I can not find anything on what happen to her after she went aground while named Rum Cay Grace.
