We are waiting for Kvichak Marine to get back to use regarding some of the spec as our team wasn’t 100% sure for some of the figure. If you are familiar with the class and note some inaccuracies do not hesitate to let us know. We took the video and pictures during the NAVDEX navalshow held last month in the UAE.
Some video here of an RB-M intercepting a panga. Note, the RB-M has no trouble overtaking the panga and this is taking place 90 miles SW of San Diego, so, pretty far from base for a small boat and at night.
Just got a press release that the manufacturer of the RB-M is merging with Vigor.
“SEATTLE, WASH. – (March 3, 2015) – Kvichak Marine Industries and Vigor Industrial today announced the companies are merging to unite their strengths in the design and fabrication of aluminum workboats, shipbuilding, and boat building. Under the terms of the merger, Kvichak will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Vigor. Kvichak’s current owners (Jim Meckley, Brian Thomas and Keith Whittemore) will join Vigor as shareholders and as members of the leadership team.”
