Life Magazine offers a selection of quality photographs made by a crew member of the 327 foot cutter Duane taken late in the war after its conversion to an amphibious force flagship.
Perhaps this is of limited interest and does not belong here, but forgive me for highlighting a ship I have a personal interest in, I was XO 1982-84.
