A site in Taiwan reports a Russian report with some details and a Probability of kill (PK) claim for China’s newest Close in Weapon System (CIWS). With eleven 30mm barrels giving a 10,000 round per minute rate of fire and 1280 rounds on the mount, it would also be pretty wicked as an anti-surface weapon at close range.

A 90% hit rate vs a Mach 4 missile? That seems pretty optimistic. Or did they mean one of the shells would hit, but not do enough damage to defeat the missile?
