China Maritime Safety Administration’s Haixun-09
This came out in 2021. I missed it at the time, but it is still interesting. Have not heard any reports of the utilization of this massive ship since it was completed.
There is plenty of speculation within the post as to how the ship will be used. Note this is not China Coast Guard. The China Maritime Safety Administration was the only one of China’s five agencies with Coast Guard like missions that was not consolidated into the China Coast Guard.

Are you sure this isn’t just propaganda photo that China is using to make U.S. Coasties jealous and hurt their morale with photos of how luxurious are the China Maritime Safety Administration ships?
“This is your China Maritime Safety Administration cruise director. This morning, we have shuffleboard on the Lido Deck, followed by a dance contest. The movie will begin at 2100, with free popcorn and soda. In the main auditorium, a Broadway-style musical at 1500, followed by a comedy show at 2000. Stop at the excursion desk to pick up your tickets for shore excursions ranging from jet-skiing to parasailing, kayaking, scuba diving, and swimming with the dolphins. Thank you for sailing on the Haixun-09.”
Looks like a company headquarters to me. Maybe where the Chinese leadership will go if they are involved in a nuclear exchange.
