You may not have heard about this. I confess I had not, but looks fantastic. Follow the link for the details. They are planning to have 32 tall ships in New York and New Jersey for the 4th of July. Of course, EAGLE will be there and apparently at all five events. Baltimore will have an airshow with the Blue Angels as well.

Cool! I was on GOVIS for OPSAIL 200 (1976). Got a medal for holding down the Chief’s Club. What a great view.
As luck would have it, I was also in Yorktown in 1981 for the anniversary of the British surrender. President Reagan and French President Mitterrand celebrated. I had made CWO2 and had to buy a sword for it! I was married at the time to the Assistant to the National Park Superintendent, which netted me an invitation to the Governor’s Ball. What a hoot. Another Unit Commendation, and the cocktails were wonderful.
