“CENTCOM Commander Provides Update on Operation Epic Fury”

Above is a video of Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper reporting on Operation Epic Fury, the attack on Iran. This is only the latest such report. I have also added the previous reports below in the order they were issued.

Prior to becoming CENTCOM, Admiral Cooper was 5th Fleet Commander, where Coast Guard PATFORSWA was under his command. I was always impressed by the Public Information provided by 5th Fleet which frequently included Coast Guard units. 5th Fleet had by far the best PR in the Navy.

U.S. 5th Fleet’s Task Force 59 launched the UAV during Digital Horizon, a three-week event focused on integrating new unmanned and artificial intelligence platforms, including 10 that are in the region for the first time. Under Admiral Cooper, 5th Fleet pioneered the use of unmanned systems, and frequently Coast Guard PATFORSWA units were involved. I suspect 5th Fleet was involved in the modifications to the six PATFORSWA Webber class WPCs that gave them a counter UAS capability.

It seems he has not forgotten the Coast Guard. In several of these reports, he thanks the various service members under his command and he includes coastguardsmen.

Below are earlier reports.
