LEGOS. Who would have ever imagined?
The ship is being towed from Romania where it was constructed to the Netherlands for completion and trials. Delivery delayed by COVID19. Another ship contracted to fill in for resupply 2020/21. https://www.marinelink.com/news/australias-new-icebreaker-towed-480724
The ship is being readied for Sea Trials, expected in a few weeks. Should be completed and moved to Australia by mid-2021. https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2020/10/australias-new-icebreaker-rsv-nuyina-readies-for-sea-trials/

That ship is massive: its displacement is comparable to the old Arktika-class nuclear-powered icebreakers, more than twice that of the old Aurora Australis.
I don’t think anyone will ever build a more capable platform to support Antarctic research activities.
Nice to know we have friends with capable ships, in case our own ship gets in trouble.
On the way from builder to its homeport. https://gcaptain.com/australias-new-antarctic-research-icebreaker-sailing-home-after-delivery/
