That ship is massive: its displacement is comparable to the old Arktika-class nuclear-powered icebreakers, more than twice that of the old Aurora Australis.
I don’t think anyone will ever build a more capable platform to support Antarctic research activities.
Nice to know we have friends with capable ships, in case our own ship gets in trouble.
