We have talked about loitering munitions before, and I think they represent both a threat we need to be prepared to counter and a possible solution to countering small, fast, highly maneuverable surface threats be they manned or unmanned.   1. Wasn’t it Eisenhauer who warned, “Beware the military industrial complex?” Isn’t this how The Terminator movie begins? You take the human out of the equation, war becomes safe for the warrior. It’s the civilians who must suffer. My God, where are they taking us?

    • Unlike most cruise missiles, these have “man in the loop” allowing observation during the flight and the ability to abort the mission if necessary.

      In some cases, if they can be recovered and reused.

    • “Loiter Munitions” isn’t anything new! The US started using them in 1988, and the Israeli used Kamikaze Drone as early as the Mid-1980’s…
