It’s nice to see the old 378’s getting a new life
The German Navy Blog Marine Forum is reporting (without attribution):
“24 November, PHILIPPINES (Typhoon Haiyan)
“US Navy LCS-1 FREEDOM has completed delivering humanitarian aid supplies to Tacloban”
Bangladesh navy newly acquired patrol frigate SOMUDRO JOY (former USCG HAMILTON class) enroute the Philippines with a load of humanitarian aid supplies.”
So that is three former USCG 378s involved in the response. Not bad for over 40 year old ships.
