I have personally heard Genl Kelly as SOUTHCOM, RADM Harris (4th Fleet Cdr) say that the USCG are the principle and some time only surface assets at their command. Good to hear a former 4th Fleet reiterate that. NOW I wonder when the USN is going to step up and deploy the LCS at Mayport to the 4th Fleet AOR? The only other assets on this side of the Canal are 3 PCs.

    The Freedom did one LE patrol in the Eastern Pacific. For a long time it was the only operation they did.
